Gaelen has been working for Montana Academy since 2016 and started her tenure as a team leader at the Sky House. Since then, she has worked in administrative capacities, transitioning to the Sky House’s Assistant Director in the summer of 2018. Gaelen has worked with adolescents in clinical settings for ten years, ranging from Wilderness Therapy programs in Utah’s high desert to Residential Treatment Centers in urban settings. Gaelen has also worked as a climbing, skiing, and mountaineering guide for over 5 years, leading ski trips in the Montana back-country and climbing trips up volcanoes in the Cascades. She is currently obtaining her Master of Social Work from the University of Montana, which includes a focus in both clinical and macro-level social justice work. Although born and raised in the Northeast, Gaelen has lived out west for nearly 15 years and considers both Montana and Massachusetts home.
