Todd joined Montana Academy in 2003 and is responsible for the direction and delivery of an attachment-informed treatment model for students struggling to overcome substance use disorders or similar maladaptive behavioral patterns. During his twenty-five year career in mental health, Todd has spent time working in a psychiatric hospital, the juvenile justice system, wilderness therapy, and directed a transitional living facility for young men with substance use disorders. During his tenure with Montana Academy, Todd has written a formal treatment manual (soon to be in its 4th revision) which has been widely distributed among members of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), as a reference guide for families, and presented at the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) professional conferences.
